It seemed that I had struck something. Alec for once, had nothing to say and just stared at his guitar now. My eyes rested on him for a moment before I just played around with a ring on my finger, twisting and turning it, "Alec...why do you act differently with me?" I asked quietly now.

i looked at my guitar , and looked at her from the corner of my eye as to not have to meet her gaze. i played a very soft melodic group of chords . " i don't know." i admitted softly over the melody

My eyes just rested on him, and he just kept on staring down at his guitar. He would glance over at me, just only out of the corner of his eyes though so that it was not a direct gaze, "I don't know," he replied now over a beautiful melody on his guitar. I remained silent for a moment, "I'm sorry..."

A soft sigh escaped me as Alec stopped playing his guitar and glanced over at me, "I...I don't know. I just feel bad that you feel like you need to be somebody else around me because I'm...I don't know..broken."

His comment startled me a little, "You...you enjoy my company?" It was such an odd thing to hear after my last relationship, Alec sounded so sincere compared to John.
