Gena;
I felt like I needed escapsim, between those talks with Archer about what had happened to us, and Aiden snapping at me in front of that girl, I felt as if I had needed a break from this society of misfits that we all were. To be honest though, I had no idea how long I had been walking now, but it seemed like ages of my feet just carrying me down the horse trails without much though, and just the cool air and the birds to keep my company with their constant chirping. Ahead of me now, I saw that the land was spilling out into an open area, which got me mildly excited, becaus open areas always meant that there was a nice view to go with it. It was not long before I was looking out onto rolling hills of grass that swayed in the wind like water, with the clear blue sky in the background with the mountains. But that wasn't what really caught my attention, it was a herd of horses, probably wild mustangs. Sitting down, I gazed out at them, one in perticular, a black mare. She snorted and reared, running around while the others grazed, full of energy. A smile could not help but to cross my lips for a moment, she reminded me of myself when I was away from my parents.

I wandered down a trail aimlessly I needed things to change in my life. Seeing Lexi or Aj or whatever she was called now and how different she was made me sad. I missed the old her already. Then remembering the person who had killed my mother and father made it worse. I wanted to get away and never come back. I realized how many times I had said 'I' in that sentence and it made me sick was that all we ever thought about 'I'? I saw gorgeous wild horses and a girl watching them.

Gena
I was so busy watching the horses that I hadn't really been payiing attention to the rest of my surroundings. It wasn't until I saw that black mare's head snap up from grazing now did I feel like somebody was coming. Glancing over my shoulder, I saw a boy walking aimlessly around, lost almost, but more in his own thoughts than he was out here. Either way, if he kept on walking around in their sight, they might flee, "Hey, you need to sit down," I called back to him, keeping my voice hushed as I gestered for him to come over now, "Or you might scare them away," i glanced back over towards the black mare now, her amber eyes were still on us.

The girl said smething to me . I waited for a moment and realized what she wanted. I nodded and walked to her. I sat down and watched the graceful horses. I watched how free they were and i was envious of them. I sighed

I wasn't sure if he understood me or not for a moment. He just stared at me, and I just stared back, and right when I was about to elaborate, he nodded, finally getting what I had been asking of him. I turned my gaze away from him and back to the horses as he walked over and sat down besides me. The black mare was still staring at us with her intelligent eyes, after another minute though, she went back to grazing. I suppose they didn't fear us. The boy besides me was quiet, he reminded me of Aiden, strong and silent, "I wish I had that much freedom as they did."

I watched the horses intently their strong defined muscles rippled under their shining coats in the summer sun. I was amazed by how large they were yet how graceful. They were huge but could control every movement small movement. I watched the lead mare she starred at the girl and I. I saw the lead stallion. He was a amazing bay that had four socks that reached above his knees and a wide white blaze. His thick mane and tail floated in the slight breeze. I wished I could be that strong and was able to lead an entire family. The girl next to me spoke softly and it took me a moment to draw me from my deep thoughts. She said what I had been thinking. "I wish I had that much freedom as they did." I nodded slowly. "Yes I do too. That is exactly what I was thinking." I said but it came out as an echo because I was still lost in myself.

Gena,
We stared at the horses together, and my eyes still rested on the black mare even has her mate appeared out of no where, a stunning bay. It was so surreal to be watched by the thing that you were watching, and she continued to stare at us for a moment before finally tossing her head and letting out a snort. For a moment, I thought she was going to take her herd and leave, but all what she did was go back to eatting now. So, I guess this boy and I were trustworthy enough for her, either that, or clearly, not a threat. Besides me, the nameless boy spoke and I glanced over at him now for a second. His voice seemed lost, like he was truly not grounded with relaity at the moment, "I think a lot of people wish that," I replied back, after all, a lot of the kids here just seemed to want to break their ties with what their past lives were outside of Free Hearts.

Gena
Silence seemed to fall between the two of us as we just sat around and watched the horses in awe. Time seemed to pass by slowly before the boy spoke again and introduced himself. I glanced over at him now for a moment before turning my attention back to the horses, "It's nice to meet you Sam...I'm Gena."

I gave one of those small half smiles to make people feel better. "You too Gena." I replied slowly. "So why are you here?"
