Walking is acutal work

Some how, I had gotten this crazy idea that I would take my cannon camera out to the basin so I could see if I could take pictures of the wild horses. During that thought process though, I hadn't thought about how hard it would be getting there without a horse. Yet, here I was now, trying to climb up some rocky hill without much help at all. After what seemed like forever, and I had only reached half way there, I sat down on the hill now, letting a sigh escape me, "Wow Gena, can't believe you didn't think this through," I muttered to myself as I ran my hand over my camera now.

I was out riding Lucian when he spooked as we were passing some hills . he reared slightly and i sat forward holding his neck attempting not to fall as he kicked out with his front feet. I heard someone yelp slightly and as he calmed down i looked to see a girl holding a camera to her almost directly under where he had reared . Lucian was calmer now ,but blowing hot air out of his nose faster than before." easy boy." i whispered then addressed the girl and hopped off of lucian . " you okay ?" i asked with concern

I hadn't been paying much attention to my surroundings as I glanced off. Although, I had gotten a rather rude awakening now though. A shrill whinny came from no where and I glanced up just in time to see a dark horse rear right before me. Startled, a yelp escaped me as I qucikly sprang to my feet and moved, more like stumbled, out of the way. I was still holdin gonto my my camera, but my hand was clutching to my chest now as I was trying to catch my breath. A rider got off the horse now and he soon approached me, "Yeah...yeah, I'm fine," I replied, a little winded as I glanced past him at the horse for a moment, "I was just sitting htere....just startled, that's all."

I looked down at her " sorry about that." I said rubbing lucians neck as he looked at her with dark eyes becoming calmer with each breath. " you sure your okay ?" I asked her as she seemed scared a bit .

The way the boy stared at me, I had this feeling that he didn't believe me. Honestly, I was finding it rather hard to believe myself when I thought about it. I glanced at his horse now, who finally seemed to be calming down, although, I couldn't understand why the horse would have been terrifyed of me. Clearly, I was smaller than it, "I'm fine, seriousally," I replied back, offering a smile and standing up now, "See? No injuries at all."

Lucian bowed his neck slightly and looked at her again , he had just been startled . " well thats good." i laughed slightly looking at her" no horse?" i asked her , most people that came out this far on there rode horses

I watched the horse for a moment as it dipped it's head and neck in a slight bow before it's liquid eyes remained on me again. The boy's voice interupted me now though as I glanced back over at him at his question and I simply shook my head, "No...no horse. I don't know how to ride anyways so a horse probabaly wouldn't do me much help anyways."

I frowned " oh , well i just have lucian." i smiled at her and rested against lucias neck

I offered him a smile as he commented on only having the one horse, "He's a nice looking horse," I replied before glancing up the rocky hill for a moment before shifting my gaze back towards the stranager now, "Are you heading up to see the wild horses? Or are you just riding through?"
