"Ready for some ground work, boy?" I asked him with a grin as I clipped the lunge line to his halter. A loud whinny escaped my bay before I lead him outside now and into the round pen where I had been storing the lunge crop. Leading into the center, I pushed Emyrs outwards with my hands before clicking my tounge, "Walk on, Emyrs," I sat firmly. His ears twitched at my voice as he glanced back over towards me now. When he didn't do anything, I flicked the crop once, not even at him really and he started to walk. Laughter escaped me at his reluctance, but it was mostly because I had taken him from his meal. This would certainly be an interesting work out.

I never came by the stables. Horses had never been my thing, acutally, animals never really had, but today, for some reason, I felt drawn to it. Even with the hot weather outside, I was still wearing my red hoodie, the hood pulled over my head as I casually walked around. It as not long before I heard some laughter and the snort of a horse. Glancing over towards the round pen, I saw a boy and his horse. I didn't say anything, I just simply watched.

I had been playing around with Emyrs for a bit, getting him to change his gates. A couple of times he even let out a buck in my direction, "Yeah, yeah, get over it," I replied with a laugh, shaking my head. He suddenly stopped now, clearly distracted as he held his head up high, glancing over me. Glancing over my shoulder now, I saw a girl with long blond hair in a red hoodie watching me, "Hey!" I called to her, "Are you lost?!"

For a while, I thought the boy wouldn't notice me, that he would just continue going on his happy way. But then, his horse noticed me. I blinked as the large animal glanced back at me, looking proud and noble before his owner caught sight of me now and asked me if I was lost. I still stared for a moment, but I finally said, "Not all who wander are lost!"

There was a pause between me and the girl for a moment before she finally called back. A smile came to my face, Toilken. Somebody was studious. After a moment, I walked away from Emyrs now and hoped up on the fence, glancing over now, "What's your name?" I asked as Emyrs walked over now and stood besides me.

I watched as he moved over towards the fence now, his horse following him as he hopped up on the fence now and asked me my name. I didn't say anything at first as I continued to stare at him for a moment before finally walking over slightly, pausing a few feet from the fence, "Olivia. Olivia Stiefvater," I replied now as I studied the boy before me.

For a moment, she seemed uncertain of me. The way a deer stares at a car before it high tails back into the forest from once it came. Although, she finally came over now, a little closer but she was still studying me. Perhaps trying to figure out if I were friend or foe. I smiled as she introduced herself, "I'm Quentin, he's Emyrs," I replied now.

I could feel him studying me as I did him. His horse watched me too with warm eyes, and they were both curious as I was about them. I stood a few feet from the fence of the round pen now as he introduced himself, "...I'm Olivia."

"Pleasure to meet you," I replied now with a grin, "So, if you're not lost, then what are you doing around here?" I asked, "Do you own a horse?"

I shook my head, "I don't own a horse," I replied now and glanced around the barn for a moment now, "I don't know why I'm here. I was just simply following my feet," I replied now before galncing back over to him, "Are you training your horse?"
