I was slowly loosing hope in my black gelding. His brown eyes were dull and dark instead of bright and fierce. I didn't know what to do. Everyone wanted to help me but I kinda knew deep down if anyone was gonna help him it would be me. His wound was nearly healed but his spirit wasn't even close. I hugged his neck and then clipped a lead rope on him. I took him out to the fence and mounted Lilly, Jack's horse. I ponied Spy out to the West hill and sat out there with him. What could I do? I asked my self. I looked down into the valleys and saw some horses I realized they were the wild herd I saw Firefly and Wildfire standing guard. I smiled and looked at sPy who was looking longingly at the herd. I suddenly had an idea. I rode Lilly slowly to the herd. Spy started pulling the lead. this was the most fire I had seen out of him for a while. I knew what to do. I leaned over and unclipped his halter and he ran a few steps and then stopped I was about to turn around since teras were starting to build in my eyes. He looked back at me as if asking if I was coming. I smiled and clucked ot him. I watched him run then he stopped again as if to say im not going with out you. I smiled and kicked the white mare I was riding into a gallop after Spy. He ran to the herd and nickered. I smiled and kept Lilly back a little. the herd of gorses started galloping and I went after them I knew this is what Spy needed.
