I was sitting here at the one of the elongaged tables at the moment. As far as I coudl tell, I was the only one here, granted, I wasn't really paying much attention to my surroundings either though. My fork was simply stabbing into my mash potatoes now. For once in my life, I felt like a traitor. Cracking in front of the school guidence counselor had not been my plan, but some how, she got me to do it, and now I was here, and my mom was still back home with that loser of a husband and my own dad probably didn't even care that I was located in a funny farm at the moment. A sigh escaped me, "Wish I was home right now," I mumbled.

I walked into the mess hall starving. I walked to the counter and got a gronola bar, blueberry yogurt, and a salad. Not much but a lot considering how much i usually eat. After I paid for my meal I looked around for a seat. Great. Not a single table was completly empty. I found the next most empty one and saw a table in the back that only included one really cute guy. I strutted over and set my tray on the table. "Mind if I sit here?" I asked.

I had been so lost in thought, as well as being preoccupied with stabing my mash potatoes, that I hadn't even noticed somebody approaching my table until they spoke. Glancing up now, I saw a girl, she was kinda cute, asking me if she could sit with me, "What? Oh, yeah, you can," I replied now, offering a smile.

I simply nodded my welcome to her, "Skylar's fine. It's a little regal than Sky," I replied now as I glanced back down at my food for a moment before realizing I should probably introduce myself as well. Glancing back up, I finally said, "I'm Kale. Are you new here as well?"

I noticed her frown, perhaps I shouldn't had brought it up, "Yeah, I came today...but, this place seems okay."

I nodded, "Yeah, I saw all the land they have. And somebody told me there was a lake around here, so I'll deffinlently be checking that out," I said with a smile now.
