I walked into the Mess Hall on my first day, unsure of what to do. Everyone here was athletic and outdoorsy- the opposite of me. I liked being outside, but the idea of playing sports scared me. Why would you want to get your head ripped off, all over chasing a little ball. And I loved outside, but I was affraid of animals; all of them. Even squirrels.
After picking out a sandwhich, I sat down at a small table in the front, hoping someone would sit next to me.
