I walked into the diner and fidgeted with my dainty high ponytail. My normally grungy outfit felt crisp; I had washed them last night. I walked up to the counter and talked to the lady behind it.
"Um can I speak to the owner?" I asked nervously.

I sighed and tapped my fingers against the desk. We were under staffed... "How about you can try out the job and Ashton can teach you everything if you egt the hang of it you have the job if not there are always spots at strands and Jim's."
