Aiden;
I was never one for horses, they were large animals and quite frankly, thhey just were not something that I cared for. But of course, being stuck here, they seemed to be one of the few things that Free Hearts offered in mindless entertainment, not that I would get on one. With the cool breezes passing through, it gave new meaning to crisp air and they pushed the green grass gently along as a varity of horses ate it up, their powerful mouths pulling the roots from the ground.
I sat on the outside of the pasture, behind the fence and at least a good five feet away from it too. Going closer to them was not on my to do list, the horses were merely background sounds to the summer soundtrack. The occasional snort or whinny came from the peaceful animals as I brought out switch blade, exposing the gleaming silver to the sunlight now. I just stared at it now for a moment before running the tip along the rubber of my shoe, digging it into the indents and freeing any loose pebbles that might have gotten trapped.
All of the sudden, I had felt that sudden earge to want to take a hit, it lingered in my body as I continued to move the blade across my shoe, trying to distract myself. A whinny caught my attention as I glanced up now as I saw a horse staring at me, or maybe it was a pony since it was smaller, craining it's neck over the fence, staring at me with curious eyes. It was white...or gray, speckled in a way, and it took me a moment before I realized I knew the animal, by sight at least. It belonged to a guy, or at least, I assumed it had since that was who I had seen it with earlier in the week.
Another gleeful whinny escaped it,a nd it continued to stare at me with those amber eyes, almost all knowing and yet pondering my existance and my tensebody. The longer it stared at me, the more I felt like I was cracking under somebody's all knowing gaze and quickly glanced away now from the pony, staring off towards the mountains as I continued to mindless clean my shoe every few passing seconds, ignoring the pony who continued to stare at me.
