I stared out the window as the truck pulled up to teh front office now. I glanced out the back window, staring at the horse trailer where Storm was, "I'll wait out here with your horse," said the driver gruffly. The doors open and slammed, and that boy who had been with me was already out and storming off into the place. I rolled my eyes and finally got out after him and followed him inside.

I couldn't believe I was stuck in the car for those seven hours with that girl. We couldn't speed because of her stupid horse, and of course, we had to stop so many times because of the dumb thing. I ran a hand through my hair, the moment the truck came to a stop, I was out there of there without much of being told. There was no way I was staying inside that truck any longer than I had too. With luck, nobody would think I'd have any association with that girl Carrie, she looked like a loser. Shoving the door open, I let it's hinges swing to it's max possible before slaming it behind me, "Any body here?!" I called out.

I sat in the office sadly. Tomorrow was my birthday and nobody-not even my boyfriend had said anything about it! I doodled on my paper even though I was supposed to be working on Mustang round ups and their paperwork. I also still had to start paper work for the up coming hunter jumper show in Salt Lake City. I perked up a teeny bit when some people walked in. "AJ ARE YOU WORKING?" Emily yelled from the back. "Yusss." I moaned and put on a small smile for the two new people. "welcome to free hearts." I said politely

I glared at the back of Taylor's head, that jerk slammed the door in my face. I pushed the door open, about ready to embarress him in front of that one girl when I noticed another girl behind the counter, "Welcome to Free Hearts," she replied now in probably one of the most polite mannerisms ever. Stalking past Taylor and his probable girlfriend-for-the-day, I walked up to the counter, "Hey. Carrie Walker. They told me to come here to get a room? Also, I need a stall for my horse, Storm."

I didn't bother to see if I had gotten Carrie in the face, but I was hoping I had since she was probably one of the most annoying girls I had ever met. Glancing around inside, I couldn't help but to wonder what kind of place these people sent me to. Of course, I was distracted now by this girl, "Uh..." was all on what she said. Dispite the rather clueless looking she had, the girl was blond, thin...rather hot. Perhaps things were looking up now, didn't all the hot girls have problems? That meant this place was loaded with them, "Hey there," I said, a smirk on my face.

I smiled at the dark haired girl dispite my terrible mood. "Okay well you can take appartment 8. Im not sure if you have a roommate or not.." I said knowing I needed to catch up on everything. "Okay so your horse can go in stall 29 barn A. Cody or Ty should be around to help you." I sad and frowned think about Ty and Cody. My best-friend and boyfriend that hadnt even said a thing about my birthday.

She smiled at me before talking, ""Okay well you can take appartment 8. Im not sure if you have a roommate or not.." I said knowing I needed to catch up on everything. "Okay so your horse can go in stall 29 barn A. Cody or Ty should be around to help you." I simply nodded, "Sweet, thanks," I replied, about to turn and head out the door to get Storm and take him to the barn, but something seemed up with the girl, like she was lost or something, "Everything okay?"

I nodded to the girl and smiled as she left. When th edoor closed I slammed my head into the desk and groaned. "AJ What is th ematter?" Emily asked as she posted things on the bulletin. "My birthday." I moaned back. "Oh hush now I am sure at least Ty will do something for you now hush. You can take the rest of the day off." She sai dna dI ran out the door and straight into a blonde guy.

I was still waiting for that other girl to reply. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that Carrie was leaving already. Thank god, perhaps I wouldn't see her around for a while then. Maybe this place was big enough were we wouldn't have to talk to each other again. All of the sudden, something ran into me. I was startled, "Hey, watch...it" I said now, glancing over to see it was hte girl that Carrie had been talking to, and eveidently, she was blond too. God, I must have died and gone to heaven, were all the girls here blond?

Well, for somebody with a pretty face, she certainly seemed to have an attitude at the moment. I rolled my eyes at her half hearted apology, "Yeah, I'm sure you are," I shouldn't even accept it, "Taylor," I replied sourily.
